Board of Directors’ Professional Training/Workshop (Required for Board Members and Volunteers)

Minnesota COPE program will pay for this workshop; however, it is free to its educational partners.

The organization will receive its professional training from Propel Nonprofits, formerly known as MAP (Maintenance Assistance Program for nonprofits) in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  One of their most popular training/workshops is called Fundamentals of Nonprofit Board Governance.  This training provides an excellent overview of nonprofit boards based on the core roles and responsibilities of board members. The workshop is offered several times a year giving nonprofit board members a strong foundation as to board governance and its operations. This workshop is required for all nonprofits with a 501 (c) (3) every 3 to 5 years.
